Straight answers

Everything people ask before they join.

How do I become a member?

Attend or watch, take the two-session Discover Scripture Church class, submit the application below, come to orientation, and be received by the leadership. Most people finish in four to six weeks.

What does membership actually mean?

It means this house is accountable to you and you are accountable to it. You have a pastor by name, a household record, a place to serve, and a voice in the life of the church.

What are the expectations?

Worship regularly — in the room or online, grow through the Word, serve somewhere, give faithfully, and walk in peace with your brothers and sisters. That's the covenant, plainly stated.

Do I have to attend orientation?

Yes. Orientation is one Saturday morning (or one online session for Media Church members) with the pastors. You'll read the covenant, ask hard questions, and meet the people you're joining.

How do I submit an application?

Use the form on this page. It takes about six minutes. Households can add every member on a single application.

What happens after I apply?

A pastor — not an auto-reply — contacts you within two business days with your orientation date. Leadership reviews your application afterward, and you're welcomed publicly in a service.

Can I join as an online or Media Church member?

Yes. Media Church membership is a real membership for people who participate through worship streams, Faithonomics Radio, online teaching, and digital fellowship. See the full pathway below.

Can I transfer from another church?

Yes. We'll request a letter of transfer on your behalf, honor the discipleship you already have, and place you on the pathway where you actually are.

Can my entire household join at once?

Yes. One household application creates a family record with children's check-in codes, family devotions, shared giving statements, and event registration for everyone.

The assimilation pathway

First-time guest to ordained ministry gift.

This is Scripture Church's actual progression — twelve stages, not a generic funnel. Your account always shows the single next step in front of you.

  1. 01
    First-Time Guest
You walked in — or watched in. We learn your name.
  2. 02
    Second-Time Guest
You came back. A pastor follows up personally.
  3. 03
    Regular Attender
You're here most weeks. Time to belong, not just attend.
  4. 04
    Member
Orientation, covenant, and the right hand of fellowship.
  5. 05
    Active Congregant
Worship, giving, and a life group you actually show up for.
  6. 06
    Ministry of Helps
Serving on a team — the hands and feet of the house.
  7. 07
    Personal Ministry
Your gifts identified, developed, and assigned.
  8. 08
    Ministry Leadership
You lead a team and raise up new servants.
  9. 09
    Special Care Minister
Trained for pastoral care, crisis, and benevolence.
  10. 10
    Licensed Minister
Licensed and covenanted with the ministerial body.
  11. 11
    Ordained Minister
Ordained, sent, and commissioned by the house.
  12. 12
    Executive Pastor
Executive oversight of ministry, governance, and the house.
Membership application

Take the next step today.

The membership covenant

We commit to worship together, grow together, serve together, give together, and carry one another's burdens. You'll read and sign it at orientation.
